Nistler, Anita "Meeps" Josephine (Streit) Age 71, of Bloomington passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning on March 20, 2022. Born in St. Anna, MN on March 19, 1951, Anita has reunited with her parents, mother Lucille (Lucy) Bernadette (Streit) Wiatrak and father Anton (Tony) John Streit Jr. She was united in marriage on September 30, 1978 to Roger Nistler at St. Anthony Parrish in Saint Cloud. Her husband of 43 years survives at home in Bloomington, Mn. Anita is survived by her loving husband Roger and son Eric, siblings, Joyce, David, Laura, Andrew, Gloria Jean, Joann, Michael, and Karen, her god children, Brian (Joyce), Katie (David), Justin (Karen), Breeann (Barb), Kendall (Brian); numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and parishioners. Anita was proud to share the story of how she was born at home during a blizzard on their family farm in St. Anna, Mn. She was raised in the St. Cloud area and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1969. After moving to Minneapolis, she and Roger had their "miracle baby" Eric in 1980. Then she continued her clerical profession at Park Nicollet for almost thirty years until her retirement in 2010. She became an active member of St. Bonaventure of Bloomington where she volunteered in many events, including her favorites, the Fall Festival and craft shows. She also looked forward to the Streit Christmas Bowling parties, the Nistler Easter egg hunts and her yearly family "corn" party, where friends and family gathered for food, bingo, quarters, dice, scratch offs and lots of love and laughter! Anita was a person of faith who had great love for life, family, friends, and her community. Her kind and gentle nature, was an inspiration to all that knew her and her selflessness will be always be remembered. Please join us in celebrating Anita's life by wearing something in her favorite shade of purple.
